  1. Did my exams at Pinewood Studios in London recently. (Yes, this is the place where they filmed the James Bond 007, Harry Potter plus other great movies.

FYI, it was the Protools Audio Engineering Exams that I took, and for all you guys unfamiliar with Protools, it is the academy award winning system that are used in 99% of all audio mastering for film and music recording.....

It is native 192kHz i/o audio mastering - check out this fabulous pic of the console. tongue.gif

  2. Hey, I'm back from the UK!.

Brands like Cayin/Sparks/Original's are quite common and readily available in almost HiFi shops in China.

Their prices should be about 30-40% less than retail prices in Singapore.

There are two brands that I particularly fancy - Xindak's tube SACD player and Jungson's CD & SACD player.

The latter (Jungson) is the "Krell" of MIC players. OEM as the INCA for the UK market, they make very good CD/SACD players (check out the August HIFI CHOICE).

Barradio, any comments on your Jungson SACD player, pse post a pic of this lovely component. wink.gif

  3. Just want 2 know if there is anyone interested in the above.

I'll probably be letting them go together as a pair - upgrading soon.

PM me if you are interested.

Serial no of W2002 - 0887 with original flight case.

ATH-L3000 is one of 10 from the first batch of L3000 ever produced, no serial no. and actually not for sale/circulation - extremely rare since it is the only one in the free-market.

  4. OT:

Can anyone help me on this?

I've got a old PowerBook 3400 that seriously needs a OS update, but the problem is I've lost the original disk. It was on 8.6 originally but that was misplaced.

Currently the 8.6 traditional chinese OS on the system but I would prefer the US version. Anyone knows where to get them? I've tried OS9.1 but it did not work with it.

    HELP!

  5. A interest check on a couple of my headphone amps.

The Mapletree Audio Design MAD EAR+ headphone amp with balance n pre-line out - upgraded brass knobs, blackgates + Alps Blue velvet - using two 12A4B & 1 5751 tube - customed and assembled by Prof Lloyd Peppard himself.

The "Oringinal" Master Headphone Amp with Ext. Power supply - I think I've posted some writeups on them some months back - properly burn-ined and boxed.

Thinking bout letting them go because I do not have much time for them nowadays.

    Please PM me for offers.

    Thanks
