I am in Guangzhou, and owned a power conditioner, but I still experience tremendous swings.

there was once, I had such a bad one that more player "hang", cannot stop, cannot play or fast forward.

I am using one too but mainly for presentations and when I am alone in the office on the weekends. Pretty powerful though.

From my experiences with this dac/preamp, I used to owned the 2008 version mas well. IMO, the output is pretty clean and accurate using only the DAC out, with the preamp function on, the sound is a little tubey.

Very nice, My xiangsheng 708b, a mj clone(thats what i heard) have the hovlands as the input and output, and the mcap supreme at the interstage(not sure of the term). Using mullard 6922 and tungsol 2c51. had a spare pair of amperex 6922.

Looking back at the amp now, I felt like an idiot. hahahaaaaaa

I tried this the last time when my then GF(now wife)'s ipod was damaged.

Same ticking sound heard but in the end i bought the wrong hdd size.
