  1. I recently got a Shure E5C. This is my first pair of headphone. I made the decision after reading this thread. I just came back from a trip, and sad to say, I think the noise cancellation isn't very good. I have to hold the plugs against my ear canal to completely block the noise. I may be using the wrong plug though. There are so many types inside the box. Which one to use? Obviously a newbie here...
  2. I finally got myself a 2nd hand Shure E5C. It seems this Cowan DAPl is highly recommended. Where can I get it? Is it good for classical music? Not looking for pop sounding devices. Please advise if there are any new toys in the market.
  3. As MP3 players are lossy, are there any players in the market that plays loseless formats such as wma loseless., or even better, FLAC? Obviously a newbie question... I am looking for a good headphone, but am thinking of the source as well.
  4. This sounds good! Can't even hear people talking... But what is CK7? Which brand? DAMAGE$$?
  5. Thanks for the info, guys. OK, I am an audiophile for many years, but completely new with headphones. After 3 long trips to the US in my new job this year, I am about to go crazy. I think I need to research more before deciding. This ETYS thingy, I don't understand how it block out sound, I mean physically, compared to a big cup over the ears. Guess I have to set my priority, sound quality or effectivess in blocking out sound.
  6. I am looking for one of this noise cancellin thingy.... What exactly is a Etys?
