    PA2V2!

Ordered the PA2V2 and it came, goodness me, it really made a very BIG DIFFERENCE to my music on my iPod! Tried the Opening theme of Superman on the amp (not burnt in, stock cable, iPod volume slightly more than a quarter) and the bass is very well-defined & punchy, the triangle tings and xylophone pings really came out as compared to the internal amp. Tested it with other punchier tracks as well as a few symphonic pieces and its really worth my every single 90 buckaroos and 1.5wks of waiting! Yes, all these with just the stock cable. I can't imagine if I run the music thru the line out port straight to the amp! Very excited now. Anyone knows where to get good iPod lineout cables?
  2. http://www.redwineaudio.com/index.html Unfortunately, its not available for the latest 5th Gen 80GB iPod Video.
  3. Argh, I'm not exactly a whiz with the soldering iron! And one of the clips that's supposed to clip the twisted sound cable in (those type where u twist the bare wire, lift the clip, insert it in the hole and snap the clip back) is broken! Since its out of warranty and the people at Creative would simply whip out da chopping board and the chopper on my neck if I were to send it back for repair, wondering where could I send it in to? The Soundworks is a very good set of speakers and it had been with me for like, 3yrs? Don't really want to change it just like that. Anyone out there that can help? Wondering if ur shop does repairs?
  4. I really hope not though. I've got a pair of 2.1 Cambridge Soundworks speakers connected to my TV which is connected to my DVD player in turn to just provide simple L/R audio. Lately I'd noticed that I keep losing sound from the right speaker, naturally I thought it was the speaker-to-TV interconnect that's causing the problem and jiggled it a little. Yes the sound came back for like 30secs before it died off and a grounding hum in crescendo mode (from piano to fortissimo) can be heard on both speakers. Jiggling the interconnect on the TV end helped a little. So I tried jiggling the interconnect connected on the subwoofer end. Tough luck, instant fortissimo grounding hum came on both speakers. With a little luck and somemore jiggling on the interconnect connected to the subwoofer, the sound came back, but every now and then when I accidentally bump the subwoofer and jiggled the interconnect, the annoying *pop* and grounding hum just comes back. I had checked the interconnects on both ends, no indication of oxidation. Just wondering if its an indication of something's gonna die? I just don't wanna get caught with my pants down.
  5. Well, u can order them online (the batteries shldn't cost u more than USD$50) and it shld come with a blue flat plastic tool & instruction set. I've got some friends who DIYed it and said it was pretty easy without bustin' da chrome ass off.
  6. That's great. Thnx for the help. BTW, I'd found a website for Jaben (jaben.net), are the retailers for that wire stuff located at Adelphi? Thnx.
  7. New user here. This stuff looks pretty interesting since I'm getting the PA2V2 soon. Just wondering if this line out connects to the AC input socket or the sound-in socket of the PA2V2?
