That's actually the TAOC footer TITE-25MF. It comes in a set of 4 but most use only 3 for better stability. So I believe he use the spare as stabilizer. I also used it previously, it does improve imaging with lower noise, but not day and nite improvement.

Don't worry, Stax is not that scary. It does take some time to appreciate. It is turntable that you should be worry about, it difficult to go back to cdp once you listen to it.

1) I'm using my dad's old denon receiver, AVR-1200, and a pair of mission floorstanders, and KEF center speaker. I'm experiencing volume imbalance on the right: i.e. the left is louder than right...

 

Where can I get the receiver's fault diagnosed and repaired? I went to a shop in SLT to repair, but it came back with this imbalance...please help.
