why put a mini hifi inbetween the usb soundcard and the headphone amp? cant the headamp just connect directly from the usb soundcard?

Papaya86, you really need to be more tactful with your words. Just because you can percieve the differences doesnt mean another person can. The other person is no less of a human just because he/she cannot percieve it.

its all a mental thing i believe. just enjoy the time with yer new found friends. most of the stuff they do is quite enjoyable unless yer an engineer officer then yer in for quite a bit of extra maths work. otherwise it should be quite fun.

I live on the 2nd floor and above a RC (which is like a gathering area for neighbours and a place to hold tuition classes for those non sg folk) so there is always constant noise. The fact i live near a sec school and a garbage dump makes things worse. Loitering noisy kids/ karaoking folk at the RC/ cars/motorbikes from the carpark rite next to my room. Hardly a conducive listening envrionment. Hence my pref for closed cans. Helps isolate me from the rest of the world.

The first flower, the cropped petal really distracts me from the rest of the pic. Seems like the colors are kinda dull lacklustre to me or, if it was intentional then, it could be a little bit under exposed?

Wonder what it will sound like? i think the best sounding of the ipod line imho, is the shuffle.
