  1. I just recently played around with my friend's very old nikkor 20-35 f2.8 on her d70 and was really thrilled with the lens. Its perfect because thats my usual usage range like 80% of the time. Too bad cant really find it around anymore and i was told that the original price of the lens was 1.5k *whistle* and she inherited the lens from her bro. Darn lucky!

  2. I would suggest you begin on the PPA if you have the money. I think its a more worth while investment, with the various upgrades u can add on later.

If i remember correctly, it costs around 300-400 in parts alone? Somebody correct me on this?

    Hope it helps, cheers!

  3. Firstly.. invest in good eardrops. tongue.gif I usually stop listening to music for a few days and clean my ears regularly with the ear-drops and when i listen again i notice a marked improvement. your milage may vary though.

Highs usually refer to the higher frequencies... and lows refer to the bass and inbetween the two is the midrange which is where the vocal range and most of the acoustics are at.

Good is just so subjective nowadays. It differs between so many different people. Good equipment is a good start. Your SR-60's are good but your envrionment plays a factor also since those are open cans. Noisy surroundings can prevent you from hearing the good stuff since you have to raise the volume thus drowning the details. I think you also have to ask yourself what are u looking for in your music and depending on the type of music, different cans/equipment can help you achieve your goal. Generally the Garbage In Garbage Out rule applies. If your source of music (your player) cannot resolve the details well enough, the resulting sound will sound bad even though your cans/amp are of really good quality. There are just so many variables at play here so a little more info might result in much better answers from the more knowledgeable guys around. Im sure they will be here soon to enlighten you.

    Cheers!

  4. I watch alot of Akira Kurosawa's flicks... old jap movies including the Lone wolf n cub and zatoichi series are the best for me. I usually dont trust reviews until i see it for myself. I hope Batman Returns is dark like the first Batman movie. I keep watching KungFu Hustle alot cuz im a Stephen Chow fan... waiting to see KungFu Mahjong dat he co-directed. Sin City is another good movie.. quite true to the comics if u read em. I really enjoyed the way the story was depicted. Very stylo. Both Resident Evil movies rocked so u can count me in on that. LOTR was massive and im waiting for the trilogy extended dvd collection if and when it ever comes out. Havent seen HG2G yet so will have to wait soon. Im quite the movie fan so i watch alot of movies... alot.
