blown away by the subterranean bass. hair-stand all the way. 45min of pure short bliss, one of the best debut albums ever. still can't believe they're so young. the stall foyer crowd all heck-care chiong to the front for a close glimpse of their heroes during Intro, nothing security could do. too bad for those who kena front seats haha.

florence had the most irritating wail. din even stay till the end, my ears were shot.

  2. errrr...finally succumbed to all the talk about vinyl in this thread...so decided to give it a spin (no pun intended). Bought an entry level, easy to use Denon DP-300F...high-end audiophiles will probably snigger at this product but due to space and budget constraints decided to get this...it comes with an in-built phono stage and thus can be directly plugged into any headphone amps. It comes with attached line out rca and power cables. Very easy to set up too.

And the sound...wow...it really kick ass; this budget turntable is surprisingly good. Bought my favourite Queen album (news of the world) from Roxy and compared to the CD of this album, the vinyl wins hands down; so much fuller and warmer...and the bass is unbelievable.

    that's a lovely sounding deck.

    who cares what audiophools think?

there is never a doubt that a well setup vinyl frontend will trounce the CD.

  3. I'll bring mine if there's still places left --- full house at the moment.:sweat:

Aron -- mind to put me on the backup list?

    steady.

haven't seen u in a while, maybe i can swing by pick u & go together, sms to confirm thx.

anyone interested to hear the new YAQIN 6V6 headamp? the 32ohm output is quite lovely for Alessandros/Grados. lemme know & i'll lug it along.

  4.

I had a go at the Grado 125 just today. Find it a bit lean, though more lively, as compared to my Senn HD595 (both playing MP3s through the HA Info NG94 USB DAC/Amp). Now I am having second thought on the Alessandro MS1i for rock :(

u won't go wrong with the MS1i for rock. it replaced my previous SR225i.

the alex will also do other genres well. at that price point, it has few peers.
