it never ends, the multiple driver marketing bull piles up.
-
Er wasn't that my point? More drivers =/ (not equal) better performance.
apologies, misread the symbols.
-
More drivers =/ better performance.
not all the time. the Future Sonics customs uses only 1 dynamic driver, and i find myself using it more than the UE11 which has multiple armatures.

And do you think that's a great idea? Do you think that kind of research not even based on the target product is worth anywhere near USD$1400?
no worries audioart's legions of fans will make sure of that. as the old saying goes "it's easy to make a fool & his money part ways."
-
"The Sennheiser HD 800 is not capable of delivering world class sound with the accompanying stock headphone cable"
from the ripoff audioart link, desperately trying to sell more snake oil. haha, i tot the world class reviews of the world class cans were based on the stock cable?

sounds like the simplest of jobs for the Atrios, nothing else comes close.

So u can feel the bass pounding on the ears?
So what do the UE 5 EBs give u then? Is that blow up your head bassy? hahaha
precisely.

by the way... does anyone know where i can get them and for how much? Jaben doesn't carry Denon if i'm not mistaken. I dunno about Hung bros though....
Jaben does Denon. check it out.

I guess it's all up to how much space you can afford. Getting a $2k set of speakers, but then constricting them within a small space would just kill the entire soundstage and depth altogether.
Personally, I have a Zero DAC ($200) running to a PopPulse 70W amp ($300) to a pair of Quad 12L2 speakers ($1100) and a pair of Leo Research Supertweeters ($100), all linked together with about $140 worth of Beldens and Canare cables. Throw in a pair of speaker stands I got for $250, and it costs $2090.
I'm not bragging, but I'm just questioning the price for the Dynaudio speakers.

Hi,
I'm looking at the Predator or Pico at the moment. Still not quite sure which will go better with my ER4.
Regards.

So, dudes, any good suggestions on any home use amps, suitable for K701?
budget?
-
planning to get a portable amp for K701, dun wan big desk ones, juz discuss within portable ones~~
any good suggestions fellas?
for this monster, NO.
in short, u need some higher current for this. portables can playback the 701 with volume and loudness, but u're never gonna extract the famous sound using a tiny amp. let's not kid ourselves further, just go for a proper desktop of your liking.

I cant quite agree technically bro. My understanding was that a belt driven device always create more speed irregularities than a direct drive. One can imagine a belt flexing, twisting and fluttering while transferring the power to the platter. This translate to inconsistant speed.

Denon D1001. without a doubt.
-
but those vinly lover had strong negative view against a direct coupled TT that is meant for DJ.
dun worry bout those audiofools, the mk2 is a damm solid deck at any level. zhng it, and it becomes very much better. a great deck for future upgrades, highly recommended.

I'm probably going to get a HD650 next cause I would love a stronger bass. More holes in my pocket haha
in this case, i'll suggest u save a few bucks and get the Denon D2000, with bass details that'll trounce the senn, and surprisingly wide soundstage for a closed can. try it, i'll bet it'll put a wide smile on yer face.

is it me or are the futuresonics turning a little yellow in your photo? does the clear acrylic turn yellow over time due to body oils and sweat and all?
it's just the lighting. so far no yellow, not even on my clear Livewires or UE11.

meanwhile the Atrios might be better for rock than those UE's...
