  1. Thanks for replying :)

    Which DAC do you recommend?

When you mentioned DAW, did you mean Digital Audio Workstation? I believe you are referring to software :) I have Sonar 7 and Reason 5 running on my PC for song arrangements, if that's what you mean :)

I recommend MHDT Havana which will be available on Classified soon..

  2. this unit definitely cost alot, however, i can build for anyone who is interested at a fee. it will sure be lower then building it from oversea, however, b22 major cost will still be at it cases unless there is more then 3 pieces then i can nego with the cnc to get cheaper pricing.

currently a dude has already requested me to build a 3 channel separate psu and i am working out a cost for him :))

Quote me the price for a 3 channel Balance/SE plus 3 channel dedicated PSU complete. Planning to pair this with a K1000.

    Await your PM.

  3. The cable alone cost US$ 259 before shipping, custom and duties. The upgrade cable is not as dull as the stock and it is more dynamic when it was out of the box. The bass is much controlled and mid is sweet after 100 hours of breaking in. It is worth the upgrade if budget is not a constraint asn the upgrade extend the SQ to another dimension without stock cable limitation.

How much is the cable cost? can describe how is it compare to stock cable? ALO also have made cable for K702 but almost same cost as the can.

  4. I opted for the cable upgrade as part of the package deal from TTVJ and it is cheaper that getting it separately. No regret though.

Stock K701 and K702 are sound different. K701 have more high. K702 have more balance sound and instrument dont overshadow vocal. Not change the cable yet. Wait til fully burn in then decide.

  5. There are no SQ difference at all. I used to owned a K701 and sold off after some time. Using K702 now after I sold off the GS1K too. I purchased mine from TTVJ with SAA Equinox cable upgrade and yes the SQ is different compare to stock cable. It is smoother and more transparent with the cable upgrade.

as far as I know, the difference between K701 and K702 are:

    1) model name

    2) color

    3) detachable cable on K702

I have only owned K701 beforehand, so I'm not too sure about SQ differences between the two. I believe they haven't tweaked the drivers or changed the shape, so SQ difference should be minimal or none at all.

    cheers!

  6. I did that swap with my GS1K ealier and I didn't like the outcome.

Hi, has anybody tried this combination before? I would like to know your opinions. Thanks.

That is exactly what I experienced too.

I tried before, the bagel pads added comfort, but the bass of RS1 became loosen, everything sounded distant and laidback and no more intimacy and excitement. I won't recommend this combination for RS1.

If you're looking to add comfort, have you stretched the RS1's headband? This way it helps a bit but not ultimate solution. YMMV.

Good to know that you hear the reality ..

Thanks for the reply. I have no problems with the comfort of the RS1. I just bought the bagel pads yesterday to replace the bowl pads on my RS1 which is disintegrating as the bowl pads are out of stock. However I find that the midrange seems to have become a bit hollow and I can no longer feel the intimacy with the vocals, rock and pop music that I always listen to. The only good things that I found are the additional comfort and soundstage that the larger pads add but the magic of the RS1 seems to have been compromised in the process.

Thanks for the answer as I was looking to confirm what I have heard. Guess I have to get the bowl pads somehow.
