  1. I picked the gray. Black is too common a color and my current toma is also black (trying to sell it now :P)

It cost USD329 to Singapore, about $460. The waiting list is v long. more than 2mths if you place an order now

  2. I have tried the ESW9 and love the sound signature. It has a warm sound very similar to my Shure E5C. But the isolation is nowhere near. I would say that they would be good for office or home use where the environment is not so loud. Tested them at Stereo and had to turn the volume to 12 on my toma to hear the songs at an audible volume. The sound stage is definitely better then any IEMs.

  3. The other alternative would be the RSA Predator. Shorter waiting time :) I had checked with Jaben and there is no stock for the PICO at the moment. I have already placed an order with Justin of Headamp and ETA is mid june :)

  4. Want to sell Tomahawk to pay for an upgrade to a Pico.

    Age: 6mths

    Condition: 9/10

    Color: Black

Remarks: No pouch. Slight scatch at one corner. Bought at $500 direct from RSA letting go at $380 Neg

    Sold. Thanks for viewing

  5. i think he wants to test listen to the hfi780 first before making the decision to buy it~ becoz its not cheap, and so he dun want to make a wrong decision

you are right... anyway, I have called Jaben to ask a few times already but they also have no stock n waiting for the supplier's reply...

could be the same ppl i called.

  6. between those 2, i would say TF10. it would take the SE530 or Westone UM2 to matchup with the TF10. of the 3, TF has most details in the highs & and the brightest sounding. SE530 has the most details in the mids and while it sounds brighter than UM2, SE530 sounds less bright than TF. UM2 has the strongest bass of the 3, but less details in the mids & highs than the other 2, not surprising coz the UM2 has 2 drivers while the TF & SE530 have triple drivers. comfortwise the SE530 & UM2 are almost the same and for most people both are more comfy than the TF.

so choosing between the 3 is a matter of preference plus the matching with amp or DAP.

it would be very much dependant on how u like the sound n how deep ur pocket is. all the iems mentioned are over 400

  7. Hey Dio,

Think personally if you are looking for $200 upwards range of headphones, you may need to spend some on a portable amp. If not, there won't be much difference in the sound quality between a more expensive cans and cheaper ones. You may end up paying only for comestics reasons for the cans..

I am already using the toma. so looking around for a pair of cans that work well with them... but considering to change to the pico :P

  8. like some IEM companies put bumps in certain freq to boost like mids or bass.. but real monitoring purposes or studio recording purposes would need like a totally flat EQ no?

that's what I meant.. like the sound is AS IT IS... heh

ok... but its funny that all the popular brands are called IEMs but they dun sound flat... :cans:
