  1. as long as ya never tarik kuat kuat when the fume comes out,ya'll ok!!ha...by the way,i'm solder all day long for almost 8 years.....

my friend that's like saying "i dun smoke" so i won't die of lung cancer :P , i suppose you must be in a well ventilated industrial enviroment since you solder all day long?

  2. Is it necessary? Well, I think a well ventilated room with a fan to blow a way the fumes is just as good. If you use aircon room to solder in, then I worry for you. Don't know if the Weller fume extractor has carbon filter to absorb the lead.

well i work in aircon environment.. = and lately i've being getting real bad headaches..100 bucks is a well spent if i can reduce that toxic fume in the air i guess..i guess i better ask them first if it has carbon filter

p.s, yea it does have carbon activated filter control

  3. Do you guys roll the cable? What I notice is that when the cables are twisted then there is the cracking sound or worst the music becomes mono

sounds like maybe your cable may have being damaged due to improper handling, or you could try placing your earphone in a sealed bag with a pack of silicons for a day or two and see if its alright, if not you should bring it down and have it rmed.

  4. Need some recommendations from seasoned tubes users on tubes rolling. Which tubes can give you a warm and mellow sound with good mid and high. Bass is strong but not very punchy.

    -6SN7GTB RCA (pre)

    -5998 Tung-sol (power)

well actually, its up to ones personal taste...

  5. I have no idea on es3x. But i does sound like a full custom IEM to me with um56.

for w3 vs um3x, yes. total different in sound signature. While w3 is very thick in the mids, um3x is much more like se530 in a way. I love the way it sounds. Wide open and inviting. Added the much need sparkle that se530 lack. but not to the extend of tf10p. I just thought i end my portable journey with T1 but um3x force me to open my wallet once more.

Before um3x appear, I'll say ck100 and se530 will be my preference for universal IEM. what um3x does better is in the bass and sound depth. bass is more detail and hit harder. mid wise, ck100 is still more forward but similar in warm.

T1 and um3x is similar in LR panning. but um3x seems to have a tat more depth. Bass on um3x hits harder and louder. Mid wise, both are different. same similar level of details but um3x sound clearer. highs, t1 sound a tat louder but um3x sound more extended. Basically, the main different is in the mid.

basically if the mids of um3x are pretty close to T10pro..i'll have no qualms about getting one...:wub:

  6. actually, it worth every one of your cent! went to SE wanting to try the headphone again, but hear from the stuff, he told me that no more stock for now, hve to wait, wonder the stock come alr not.

yes, the ESP950 is pretty awesome..it dwarfs the DT880s/AKG701 in clarity and Soundstage..

btw, you guys should try this one when u get the chance...

    IPB Image

pretty nice...almost no leakage of sound unlike ksc75..and soundstage is enhanced due to its dual transducers..
