  1. This is because for iPhone/iTouch implemented some sort of connector detection. Pins 11 and 15 need to be shorted for iPhone/iTouch to be able to detect the presence of the cable. You need a cable that has this feature.

It sounds like a battery saving feature to me, though i am not sure.

er..correct me if i am wrong, but just soldering both pins 11 and 15 together would work, will it not? tats wat i did and it works for both ipod and iphone, only that iphone goes into areoplane mode..so u can't receive calls when u are using a LOD with amp..

  2. So, are we going to see the brand name go down the drain?

Imagine the market being flooded with universal UE canalphones the likes of Sony and Creative, a dime a dozen.

I dun think Logitech is foolish enough to meddle with the UE sound signature and its designs.. they probably might learn a thing or two from UE and do an 'upgrade' on their cranky headphones... their mouse are awesome though...

  3. Oh, i also got the same problem with my k81DJ before. But that only happened like 1 mth before my warranty ended. Sent back to the local distributer for repairs. Basically, they claim some wire had broken inside and they will solder a new 3.5mm plug for me. And for free since its under warranty.

The catch now is that, the new plug they will solder for you is just some cheapo plastic looking one. So you can say bye bye to seeing the gold plated tip already... They can source for one for you though, but the repairs will take longer and they will charge you extra for that.

Anyway, all this was based on my experience back in May this year. Things may have changed. Gd luck to u, pal.

does'nt LHS be able to solder the jack also? since they can do IC Cable?

  4. Ur sig states you're already waiting for a Little Dot Mk II, so you're already set! I'm sure the Mk II's gonna be great.

Using the Mk III now and it's so good i'm getting a Mk V as well in a day or 2, maybe you should consider that too haha.. With both a tube and SS amp, you're good to go!

i heard you can play around with the tube on MKII as well , i might wait and see how MKII sounds and upgrade to a DV or MKIV by end of this year
