  1. I just bought this microphone, it's an audio technica AT9830 and I think my computer can't work with this microphone. Initially I thought the mic is broken so I sent it back to the shop and they had it tested on their voice recorder and it works! So I tried it on my friend's computer and it works too so how the hell can I get this working on my computer? I'm currently using another microphone, it's from Genius and it's working fine so my pc's mic jack thingy is not spoilt, well I hope it isn't anyways, so yea any help here?

Alright the next question is I'm doing a recording of myself and the program I'm using is Audacity (it's a freeware audio program). So after recording the piece and replaying it, I hear this bzzst sound in the background, I think that's what people call noise? So how do I eliminate or at least minimize the noise?

Oh both microphones I'm talking about are one of those clip-ons mics. Aaanndddd I'm sorry if this is not the right place to put this thread in so mods if necessary please move the thread to the appropriate forum, thank you :)

  2. I went to SE for replacement pads for my k81 too and they don't sell it so I have to assume is that we have to get it directly from AKG?

Edit: Oh yea does any1 here knows how to deodorize leather ear pads? Haven't tried anything yet but I'm just looking for suggestions. Just bought a pair of earpads to replace my old spongy pads for my k412p and yea from my experience of K81, it is going to stink but when, time will tell :/

  3. Thread title says it all, I listen to alot of trance and some slow rock. My budget is about $300max, any recommendations? Heard cowon is awesome and I don't wanna get anything from Apple since their products seems to be overpriced so yea, thanks in advanced.

  4. I just bought the ep-630 and well I'm kinda dissapointed by the sound though but meh, that's what you get for things under 50$ though. My friend found it ok though so I think each to his own I guess; just need this thing to last me through BMT and maybe a good 1 to 2 years. Hmm why didn't ask for a demo is beyond me :/

  5. Wah K414 alot of bass man, but yea the isolation is good. I'm using K412P and it has decent bass and good sound. The downside is the isolation, u do hear the MRT sounds etc, but with just enough sound, the problem is minimised unless ofc u're damn near the public speaker thingy then yea u will hear the announcments :P

  6. Audio-technica ES7 cheapest in town at stereo below $190. Sennheiser CX-300 cheapest in town is Hung bros at only $75.

Hung Bros is at which lvl ah? Do they offer demos for CX-300? I'm really tempted to get that :D

    Thanks in advance.

  7. I'm not sure if this applies to KFC Singapore and the video is kinda old but it's still kinda sick.

Damn I love KFC but this just made me feel so bad about consuming them :(

  8. Hi I'm quite a newbie in audio stuffs here but I'm looking for some relatively cheap, good and low powering earphones for my time in BMT which would be like a few months. I'm gonna use my old Creative Muvo mp3 player to power this thing. My budget is about $100 maxed.

Also please take a look at my query over on this thread regarding modified silicon eartips with foam.

Sorry for the thread bump but by doing this, is the sound quality changed in any sorts? Like there's gonna be more bass, etc. Just asking because my friend said it's most likely but I would like to get more feedback as I would really like to try this when I have the time smile.gif Thanks in advanced.
