  1. Used interchangably.. But in the manner he wrote that line, it indeed sounded like he was laid (and I hope not some guy laying him) after this lesson.. LOL...

    LOL. Hell no!

Happy Birthday mate! Wishin u smooth sailing ahead for you in school and otherwise. Just dont forget to have fun. Cheers!

  2. Happy Birthday dude!

Thanks! Don't try already! Just give some to me! HAHAHA

    oh yeah...btw, happy Bday lek!

    Thanks!

Argh shall not hijack this thread further.

Its about me discovering on the day after my bday in my bday thread that I actually have a senior here in this forum. In what way is that a hijack. haha (Alright. Lousy argument.)

    | | / <== Audi door.

Where _ or | represents class benches and | is s33 bench.

LOL like some funny stick art.

OK the audi door supposed to be further away but the forum parses repetitive space as being 1 single space.

  3. Haha, I take double maths + chem + physics. S33 is artemis fac. Didn't know I have a senior around here. Go the previous official meet thread, look for my face, remember it, and let me know when you happen to bump into me that its you LOL.

Oh yes jason, sorry missed your question, i'm taking french not jap.

  4. It's great to be young, wish I were always 17 (no A Levels...)

So sad thats not the case. This year aleady have to do Project Work. Thats already A lvls. Now we also have some SPA (dont know what School-based Practical Assessment). Blues lucky, he can do more practicals and choose the best 4 (or is it 2? i'm also not sure). My year now all SPAs are counted in A lvs. and the first SPA is coming up in a few weeks both for Physics and Chemistry. Oh my, I was thinking like, UH? I just got my O lv result and I'm doing my As now. LOL biggrin.gif

Changed my handphone to a K700i (Hey its quite cheap and good, $148 w/o trade in 2 year plan). Because my Samsung S300 screen went bonkers just-in-time. Sad.

I've also got to buy a graphical calculator because I'm taking further maths subject. Thats some 200 bucks. Wonder where my bday money went. LOL.

Thanks everyone! Didn't check the forum yesterday because I was kind of shagged after my 3rd language lessons which ended some 1930. Plus a whole day worth of school beforehand. Anyways wub.gif

  5. You can actually get a Canare F-12 mini plug though I don't know if it will be too big for you. I have used it before and the build is really solid. Though its not gold plated, it actually doesn't oxidise (unlike most gold plated ones which u can actually see oxidation starting to accumulate after some time), and should be better than most gold-plated mini plugs. You can get it from LHS Electronics from SLT lv2.

As for EW9 running in, usually we give most headphones (earbuds excluded) a running in of 3-4 days (i.e. approx 80-100 hrs).

  6. Oh yes sadly we didn't get to try the e5c. And I got to try the e3c again, this time with the triple flange sleeve. The sound was tonnes better than the muddy e3c I heard during the official sgh meet, most probably due to the triple flange sleeve (the sleeve used during the meet is soft flex) rather than burn-in. Bass doesn't go deep, a bit muddy still at the bottom end, but the muddiness is very slight compared to the soft flex one I tried previously during the official sgh meet.

I also tried the PXC250 from Wil. The noise cancellation did work wonders, but the sound wasn't good enough to justify its price. If only it sold for about 3/4 its original price or less...

annapurna brought his EW9. Unfortunately its usage was less than 20 hours and the sound wasn't there yet.

I guess that covers about all, except for the portable amps which jasonhanjk has already covered on.

  7. jason, n3w_typ3 didn't go, its me! mellow.gif

I personally found the iRiver headphones out v clean. Especially towards the lower frequency regions, it's fast and well controlled. But the price..... wacko.gif

Tried the etys again, this time the Er-4P with an 'S' converter + the new braided cable. Arghh, it makes me go itchy all over to mention it once more. I quite liked the D777->Xinfeed ampless->ER-4s combo.

But I should really be contented with my D777-> KSC-35 combo considering the price I paid. Any upgrade would either mean an iRiver or an Etys. Either way, my wallet disagrees, so bleah! yucky.gif

  8. If you go Chinatown the wet market cum hawker centre that building ground level, its cheaper. A few shops jut up the price, but generally they sell the China pressings at $5.90 (for the plain, simple, jewel case + CD and booklet). A few other more fancy stuff like S.H.E latest album goes for $6.50, wu yue tian's cost $6.90, etc....

English pop you can also find some China pressings.

  9. You GOT a score of 9 out of 11

    first try!

    got these 2 wrong

How many outs are there in an inning?

6, three per side! (I answered 3, dont know what inning is blush.gif )

A doctor gives you three pills telling you to take one every half hour.

How many minutes would the pills last?

60 - Start with the 1st pill, 30 minutes later take the 2nd, then 30 minutes for the 3rd.

    (I answered 90) haha

  10. The PX100 does not offer any form of isolation, its totally open. And I found the sound of PX100 pretty bad, its all too muddy, whereas PX200 sounded good to me, but a lot people claim the PX100 is better, hence YMMV.

If isolation is not that important and no portable amp will be used, KSC75 should be a good choice, if it does indeed sound close to the KSC35 (I've not tried KSC75, but own KSC35).

  11. I would say PX200!

I've tried the PX200 in a quiet place and they sound good, improving quite a bit upon amping.

PX100... I've never liked the sound, too muddy. Besides, no isolation

I have Sony EX70 (something similar to EX71) and though the sound is decent after modding, it is no contender with the Senns. Besides the isolation is bad.

As for canalphones like the shures it really depends on individuals as they tend to sound very in-head and hence fatiguing after a few tracks. Isolation is superb though.
