  1. It is available for testing at Stereo P.S. I have listened at length and did not find it impressive for its price. However, that's my ear; so try it yourself. My other comments are that it is too bulky for travel (will classify it as indoor use) but is quite well assembled. I have compared it against, AT M50, AT 700pro, Denon 2000 and Shure 540 + iPod + apple loseless + RSA Tomahawk on Hi Gain. In the end, I settled for M50 @ much lower price! As always, don't relied on others net value Some forum-ers labelled Shure 840 as "FOTM" !
  2. To each his/her own. There's always a higher mountain to scale, buy what you like to listen and not what's hotly discussed in forums =P I have a Tomahawk, what I like is the size but not the price. Pico seems nice but again horrible price. Do you really need such expensive portable amps ? Enjoy your music and not chase upgrades/trends...
