UM remoulds most armature driver earphones (e.g. shure westone and UE). There are companies that reshell dynamic drivers as well, but I'm not too sure of that. Someone might wanna chip in. =)
Mind telling me which company is doing reshelling for dynamic drivers?

Check the classified section for whiplash twag
Yea saw that but i am still considering because of the price=/... meanwhile any other options?

Just got my reshelled triplefi back. I have changed the cables to Lune Cable by Null Audio but I don't really like the build quality(thin wires) despite the good sound. Are there any other cables with comparable sound quality as the Lune and bang for buck? Or perhaps I should sell the Lune and use ES2 instead=/

Hi, any idea does UM provide re shelling services for Fischer Audio DBA02 model? It's a dual balanced armature...

Anyone knows the cost of A1000 replacement pads?
-
Hmm but I guess the AD700 will not be that cheap. I guess it will be in the SGD200+ region though.

Maybe you can try lookout for certain models of altec lansing? Or try saving up more and get the ESI speakers.

Anyone knows the updated price of the MS1?
-
And also anyone knows how much are the SRH440?
-
How about MS1s and AD700? Anyone?
Oh yea, want to ask if anyone knows where can I get the SRH 440 cheap. I've asked several shops and all are of different price and they vary quite a lot.

Not very interested in Shures and Sennheisers. However any particular models to recommend?

I am intending to get a full sized headphones and would like to hear some suggestions what should I get.
I want to use them at home to listen to music and watch movie on my TV and Laptop. Closed or Open cans doesn't really matter as long as they sound nice and durable. Price range should be around $150 plus and minus a little.
I am looking at the ATH A500 and AD series as well. I've heard that the A500s padding tends to wear off very easily, any modifications that can be done to it?
Thanks.

Sorry for bumping this thread up but I want to ask if anyone here know the pin out for the Pailiccs 3.5mm plug(which is left, right and ground)? They look very different from Neutriks and I do not have a multimeter to check them out. Thanks.

Just curious, if I were to reshell my IEM, it will void the original warranty right? If so, will the reshelling company(Unique Melody I think?) provide warranties for the IEM(drivers, cables, etc). And will I be able to "claim" warranty from SE? Thanks.

Hmm, i haven't heard the se210 and below, but had the se310 and it wasn't that good, especially for the price.
IMO, the only Shure models worth getting are the 420 and 530, because the lower-end models don't sound as good as the westone/UE price equivalents
Nah, 310 can't change bass port. I think you're talking about that marketing gimmick Shure uses in their website - some tuned bass port or something. I can tell you that the 310 has rather thin bass, if you're comparing with sf5pros/um2, and is clearly inferior to those 2 also (not just bass-wise)
I see. I guess I'll check out the UM2s and SF5 pros first. Somehow I feel that the SF5 EB sounds nice for most of the songs in my player but definitely not for classicals. Listening classicals with a thumpy bass feels weird for me.

Shure? Hmmm, maybe can consider the SE-210. Isolate quite well. Been using the SE 310 when I am on the train to work. The isolation do a pretty good job till cannot hear the engine, but rather soft on announcement.
But to me I think the 210 sound bland, that's why i go for the SE 310.
310 is the one that can change the bass port or something like that? Hmm another IEM to try out.
One of my best work..
