  1. The thing is, the D2+ internal amp is very good already. I can hear differences between FLAC and mp3 for most songs. There are some which I can't, those are usually pop with a lot of midi sounds.

I can even distinct some FLACs which were poorly ripped/converted.

The only sound enhancement I have turned on is Mach3Bass, eq and others are all off

Side qn, what tips are you using?

  2. What kind of bass are you looking for actually?

TF10 on my D2+ produces by far the cleanest, most accurate bass in my memory when I were auditioning them

If you are looking more of those 'impact' bass, they might not be it

BTW, comply foams actually 'absorbs' quite a bit of bass, if possible try it with the gray sleeves

D2+ also has a bass control, which I use to make up for the 'missing' bass on my UM3X

If you are really interested, can drop me a PM then see whether we live close enough for u to have a test on my D2+ with your songs

  3. V.I has been tested in various multichannel hosts such as Plogue Bidule, Audiomulch, and Steinberg Cubase SX or Nuendo versions 2.x or later. The 2-in/2-out fLfR, CLFE, and sLsR plugins have been tested successfully in Adobe Audition 1.5-2.0, Steinberg Wavelab 5.0, Kristal Audio Engine, Sonar Producer Edition 5, and Sony Vegas 6.

Most of them are more professional software. You have tested it to work on some other application?/?

  4. ASIO should be for XP. Since you are using windows 7, look for WASAPI plugin. When your ASIO/WASAPI is working, you shouldn't be able to change your volume via windows control panel when you are playing via your MM/foobar.

I am having no problem with foobar, it is only a simple music player. Only troublesome thing is any feature you will have to download another dll
