  1. Give the olives a try, 5bucks only if i remember correctly, and it doesn't lose a lot of isolation compared to the complys. Its not only the bass, the treble too gets absorbed. Plus, its not that uncomfortable if you are already used to the complys
  2. have u tried shure olives? It opens up quite a lot but loses a bit of isolation. I am using the shure grey flex sleeves, they are even more opened but isolation and comfort is not as good as the olives
  3. The thing is, the D2+ internal amp is very good already. I can hear differences between FLAC and mp3 for most songs. There are some which I can't, those are usually pop with a lot of midi sounds. I can even distinct some FLACs which were poorly ripped/converted. The only sound enhancement I have turned on is Mach3Bass, eq and others are all off Side qn, what tips are you using?
  4. I am also using UM3X with D2+, what you find lacking with ur current setup?
  5. Erm, how far you intending to sit from your speakers? I don't think there is anything that can fill a room under 100 bucks

    Iphone Amp

I'll like to ask, what phones are you planning to use?
  7. Hope that is not me they were referring to
  8. What kind of bass are you looking for actually? TF10 on my D2+ produces by far the cleanest, most accurate bass in my memory when I were auditioning them If you are looking more of those 'impact' bass, they might not be it BTW, comply foams actually 'absorbs' quite a bit of bass, if possible try it with the gray sleeves D2+ also has a bass control, which I use to make up for the 'missing' bass on my UM3X If you are really interested, can drop me a PM then see whether we live close enough for u to have a test on my D2+ with your songs
  9. that's why i said its a small problem. I am also someone who never on EQ. My D2+ crosstalk don't seems bad or if there is any, when coupled with UM3X which is supposed to be analytic
  10. As in the in built equalizer can almost do nothing useful to ur music. The rockboxed equalizer I've heard is better, at least usable Whats the problem u heard about D2+? Beside some paint dropping due to my extensive abuse, its solid
  11. Sansa fuze small problem is the EQ. With the cowons and sonys, you should be able to tweak quite a few things on the sound effects
  12. I bought mine locally actually. Choice of place to get online I don't know where's the best but you can add jetmall to your list also
  13. Ya, city electronics put 299 when I walked past on Sat
  14. D2+ 16GB I think 300 -350, S9 I'm not sure. Anyway with the relatively small increase in size if you take the D2+, you get a very lengthy battery life
  15. Most of them are more professional software. You have tested it to work on some other application?/?
  16. Am I the only one disagreeing with the good look?/?

    good speaker for PC?

A5 is out of ur budget, Aego M is more popular than A2. Haven't got to listen to them before
  18. Well, it shouldn't have that problem AND it should be more portable than your DACs, unless you don't bring your laptop around
  19. If you have expresscard slot, can see creative expresscard soundcard
  20. Cowon S9 or D2+ without amp Because all low priced amps are not going to do good to a player. And I own a D2+, it has quite a no. of customization for sound that you should not need a amp Should have just above 100 for phones i think, not sure the current price for the cowons
  21. +1 for Sansa sansa only problem is if you want to fiddle with their eq which isn't very good
  22. When you use WASAPI or ASIO bypass, it is SUPPOSED to be exclusive
  23. the foobar WASAPI plugin is working for me but I am using Vista. Windows 7 shouldn't be a problem.
  24. ASIO should be for XP. Since you are using windows 7, look for WASAPI plugin. When your ASIO/WASAPI is working, you shouldn't be able to change your volume via windows control panel when you are playing via your MM/foobar. I am having no problem with foobar, it is only a simple music player. Only troublesome thing is any feature you will have to download another dll
  25. I got a question though, where are you from? I saw you posting in ABI the same question, so ur budget is in SGD or USD?
