all close can's i think dt 770 is very good ( note "i think" ) is a closed can and very bassy it on the dark side dt 250 80 ohm is also good haha .. very balance in a sense la ... 80 ohm is good for portable ... 250 ohm is for home use

Ya matbon0013 hmm i some how agreed with you .... i don't mind paying that much on the repair fees as it worth the money because is a product No longer in production by sony ... some more this pcdp is from japan and SOund GrEAt.... ya is still a rip of ... but it somehow worth the money ( at least when it comes back, it look like brand new ... just took out from the box that feeling which i cannot describle ... )

 

 

For my case the laser head is confirm near death Cos it cannot read some of the cds i have sad to said ... i not that daring to relubricating the part as i worry that i damage the player instead

WAhhaaa just check it out with sony for the service for D-777 ... the upper panel cost $74 ... . the bottom panel cost $42 ... the laser head cost $$55 and the the rack is $3~5 . ... and service charge $40 ... killing ... a rip off
