wow been more than 2 years since we all got into the dark side and dslr

just wondering are you folks still using D70 or have since upgraded to a better body/jumped ship to another camp?

or maybe too busy to shoot at all

I am now thinking of upgrading .

The d70 is still a good camera but compared to today's standard in no way can it compete(even d40x has better resolution, noise and dynamic range ), ah the age of digital

Will still keep d70 and probably mod it to become an IR camera(D70i) while d200/S5pro takes its place as main camera. However looking at the Canon side the 5D is indeed very tempting.. at around 3.2k 2nd hand(just abit more than S5pro) ,offering full frame and very usable iso 3200

Maybe those who have already upgraded can tell me what body u r on now?

Been quite busy lately shooting other stuffs.

Took this near Raffles Place MRT, near UOB building.

yes they are organising the photo competition. The theme is hardware(architecture/artefacts of the temple) and heartware(events).

The deadline is still far - 31st August 07.

I am most probably joining this one, just have to find some days to shoot the temple. Anyway there are alot of prizes up for grab (especially consolation ), so there should be a good chance to squeeze 1 inside

The place looks much more 'raw' than now with all the amenities and pathways for tourists. But I guess the scenery stays pretty much the same back then and now, which is a good thing I think

hahah gave up on film already.. after calculating the developing and scanning cost, decide it is not worth it. So still stick with digital

plus it's much faster and versatile for my workflow.

maybe if I really have some extra moolah I won't mind getting an old school Fm2n or sort with a super wide angle prime and use exclusively with slide

quality wise no big difference especially for pop music. Most of the time they're the way to go especially if one's tight on vitamin M
