  1. Congrats on the new purchase and a great collection of cans!

    I only have DT880/03 to cater to my wide listening genres.

    But in my view it does have enough bass slam for classical music & its more balanced sounding than HD600.


  2. For standalone DAB players (with in-built antenna) for bedside listening there are Tivoli, Pure, Sangean (they can also be connected to your system anyway). They are not exactly cheap though - can even get a mini-compo with the budget!

     

    To integrate into your system, there are FM-cum-DAB tuners such as Denon 1500, Marantz 7001 which are excellent starters.

     

    Some DAB channels are not available on FM unless you dig them (e.g. CRUISE/EVERGREEN). For those dual channels, IMO, they sound different on FM & on DAB.

     

    What do you have in mind? If you want to use it for headphones, your reception must be pretty good (i.e. invest in a good antenna for the tuner) or else you'll hear alot of noise through your headamp.
