  1. If it was me I'd probably go 2nd hand, but the fella seems to want only 1st hand stuff. I'll tell him about the ATP3 then. Thx guys
  2. I have a fren who's looking to buy either 2 point or 4 point speakers for 80 bucks. Whats the best recommendation you folks have?
  3. Heheh thx. Well, I'm just gonna buy the pin connectors from SLT tomorow, hoping it works, if not then I might have to resort to USB sound cards. The Prommie on the GPU has blocked up all my PCI slots
  4. Ok, I've cut open the wire and there are 3 wires inside. One is bare copper wire without any cover, another is red and another white. So which is ground and which is left and which is right?
  5. Eh, natural leh, I never trim
  6. wait... you're losing me here, I'm an audio idiot remember? Center portion, tip, etc of plug, do you mean the plugs in my pic? As in break open the plugs? How do I do that? There are 3 wires inside these plugs you mean?
  7. Blazie, thx for the welcome! Well here's the pic, but you probably know what they look like its the standard audio connectors. Just some low end altec lansing speakers. The white is actually from the basic cambridge soundworks subwoofer thats connected to 2 speakers. That is for the front audio. The blue one is from the Altec Lansing speakers and that is for my rear.
  8. Audio gurus, I need help connecting speakers to headers on my motherboard. I'm trying to use the onboard sound from the back audio output ports but there is no sound coming out even though the audio is setup properly in windows. There are audio headers on the motherboard it self and its for connecting speakers to them. But I don't know what wires/adapters to buy to connect my speakers to them. Here are the headers: My speakers come with the usual audio port connector. So how do I connect them to these pins, and which pins do I connect them to? If this doesn't work, then I'll have to buy a USB sound card. What's the cheapest USB sound card available locally?
