laz 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2009 Hoping to get a headphone as present to my friend but I am sort of musically "deaf" He listens mostly to female jazz (Sarah K), guitar (Guitar Works), violin (Sarah Chang), light music (Fairytales), others (Ana Caram) using his ipod. Been reading reviews and forums and sort of narrow down to the following few: Audio Technica ATH-AD700 AKG K 271 Studio Sennheiser HD-555 I am hoping to get it around $150 - $200 dollars. Anyone have tried or own these headphones and can advise - which is better for the type of music - is it within my budget - where can I buy them

ical 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2009 (edited) I recommend Koss Porta Pro. Light, comfortable and sound very good. Edited August 7, 2009 by ical
Whenesday 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2009 I would recommend the iGrado. Great musicality and clarity in general, and looks good. The street-wear design is great for people nowadays who doesn't want to mess up with their hairstyles with headphones that presses on the head. Can be found below $80, but sadly Stereo doesn't seems to have stock of it anymore, Jaben on the other hand has stocks of it.
