fuwen 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2003 I am using HD280pro on the move via a headphone amp and Philips PCDP. I have tested the HD280pro with the Philips PCDP at my office without a headphone amp. I used HUGO Tasting Loneliness for the first time track 4 and Chai Qin Min Ge Track 8 (test bass) and track 10. To me the performance is OK. Definitely better than the stock ear phone. The volumn is only at level 6 (out of 10). However I remember last time when I use it for classical music I need to turn the volumn to almost 9. The potential problem if you are driving the HD280pro directly from PCDP could be the batteries will be drained faster than lower impedance headphone. HD280pro is rated at 64ohms.
