IC: Powerbuy for CD3000s and Shure E2s

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Decided to try emailing the shop this morning since my friend had not gotten back to me, and got the reply below from the store.

In summary, if my maths don't fail me, based on the XE.com currency convertor, the estimated prices for the CD3000s and Shure E2 are as follows:

Buy 1 CD3K yourself (42,525jpy = S$671) + cost of wire transfer

Buy 5 CD3K as group (41,365jpy = S$653) + (cost of wire transfer divided by 5)

Buy 10 CD3K as group (41,145jpy = S$649) + (cost of wire transfer divided by 10)

Buy 1 Shure E2C (10,374jpy = S$163.74) + (cost of wire transfer divided by number of buyers)

(Edit: Cost of wire transfer is about a flat cable charge (ranges from $15-30) plus a remittance commission (usually 1/8%, there's usually a minimum charge).

Note that the waranty will be voided. I wonder if the CD3Ks ordered from the US webstores, Audiocubes.com or Bluetin.com have warranty? no.gif

Conclusion:

If you or your relatives plan to go to Tokyo, you can hand carry (for us) and save (us) S$63. Or find a Japanese pen-pal and invite him/her over to see our Merlion and Sentosa, who can then save you (us) S$63. tongue.gif

No magic number of orders to get special kangtow yucky.gif But this is still the best price on the web so far.

Anyone keen to pursue this powerbuy can drop me a note, or if you prefer, just order yourself.

Regarding the Shures E2, my suggestion is to order direct from US (I ordered one over eBay for S$160, 2 year US warranty - still shipping as we speak), or try Esden Trading at Sim Lim Square for S$171.

Cheers!

Hi,

I'm from Singapore.

Please advice on the following:

a) How much it cost (cost of headphone and shipping cost) for 1 set of the

Sony MDR-CD3000 to be sent to Singapore?

cool.gif Do you offer a bigger discount from the listed 36,500 yen if I order 5

sets of Sony MDR-CD3000?

c) Do you offer an even bigger discount if I order 10 sets of Sony

MDR-CD3000?

d) How much would the shipping cost to Singapore be if I order 5 sets of

Sony MDR-CD3000?

Hi Lekguan, can if you like. I'm just pointing out that it may not be worth your while to do so as the cost added up, may be cheaper for you to buy from the US direct with credit card (PM me if you want the name of my ebay seller, seems trustworthy), or get from Esden, probably local warranty, but at least you don't bear the risk of getting kotok by Internet scammer.

Do your sums and let me know. ; - ) May be more worth it for you to share shipping cost with AbsoluteO and order from the US.

Cheers!

Just to help you out, I've done a mass order for the Aiwa VX100 from audiocubes and yes, warranty is still there, but you have to send it back and bear shipping cost.
