augustineRS 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 (edited) I've a old LD player at home.Dad bought it when first came out, Pioneer CLD 158OK. Think is a very long time ago. Never use for a long time(Yrs maybe), so last nite boot it up for a run with cds. Most of the cds can play(even HDCD) but funny thing is when I insert Delta Goodrem, it can't play. I expected CD-R audio not being able to playback. But never expect a CD can't playback. Guys any idea? Thanks Augustine I didnt intend to post so many multiple thread. when i click on post topic it keep directing me to some mail failure thing! My deep APOLOGISES to the MODS!!!! Pls help me del the rest.!!!! Thanks all MODS!!!! Edited November 27, 2003 by augustineRS
N@Z 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 1. Is the disc copy protected? 2. Is it an enhanced CD? These 2 reasons alone can cause problems with playback on old players. Oddly enough my +13 year old Marantz CD-80 PCDP works fine with all CD formats even CD-Rs. P.s. The multiple threads have been deleted as requested.

augustineRS 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 N@Z thanks for deleting the extra threads I doubt is the new protected type. Nevermind.Maybe is time to let the old man retire... Though the sound from it is not really like amazing, it is really crisp and clear. Sad passing... almost a decade i think.Everything work fine. Doubt they make player like they used to anymore. I thought Marantz do make PCDP?or was it PMDP?
