ckng 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 Where did you buy the Cerafines from? I am skeptical that different power caps will have a very significant difference in sound quality though. After all, they are not in the signal path, so any decent cap should be enough. Regards CK
tropicalrips 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 the Cerafines from Well audio the Elna Starget i had to order from RS Elna RJH & Panasonic FC from Farnell i think these capacitors just look cool in the amps, can't really hear any difference when i tried the FC & the general caps i got from SLT. havn't try the rest yet, they are reserved for the maxed out versions of my own amps the Stargets actually look better the then Cerafines because of their birght red color

fishball79 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 (edited) Here's a pic I think blackgates and cerafines looks the best... but looks isn't important if u plug in a butt ugly cap and get glorious sounds improving over the pretty caps... Firefox 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 In the signal path, I'd say Cerafine -> Starget -> the rest (Unusable) Power supply, all are decent candidates but the RJH & FC's are more sound due to their low imp. & cost.
