Meier 120 ohm adaptor question

Recommended Posts

I've came across this item several times in this forum and in headfi. Ppl report that it tames the high treble for bright sounding cans and it's not expensive. Just wondering, how does one connect this item to the audio system? Is it idiot-proof like connecting RCA cables, or does it require DIY work like soldering?

Also, is it possible to get such an item locally?

connect it to the headphone jack on your headphone cable and plug it into your amp.

The amount of shift in total balance varies with different headphones YMMV

As far as I know the 120 adapter is avilable from Meier Audio only.

However it's pretty staightfoward to make your own You need to buy a headhone jack (I male and one female) and have a shout lenght of cable and 2 x 120 ohm resistors.
