lekguan 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2004 (edited) the clone is actually one of the amps that has some kind of synergy with the HD650. HD650 is a pair of cans with quite some low extensions. With the RA-1, it adds more weight to the hd650. And I'd have to add that the HD650s are pretty dynamic unlike the HD600 which are quite electrostat. quite different signature altogether, so possibly hd580 wont sound like 650 at all. lengcm 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2004 if the clone can drive the HD650 well then i guess a cmoy should do well too, just need the 300hrs of burn-in i'm also considering the HD580, which closer to my budget for a main phone. is there a big difference between the 580 & 650 if i don't hav a high end setup? I am not too sure regarding the cmoy as I have not heard it before. Can't help you much with the HD580 and the HD650, since I don't own the HD580.
