Paris 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2004 (edited) haiz.. I have been hit by the E2 curse .... any movement of the plug will result in static and loss of sound for the left side of my phone....... problem i have is that i had imported the E2 from USA. so should i send it back to US or should i do it locally ?(it is still less then 1 year so i have a choice) problem is i had checked with the E&E(local agent), and teh service guy was telling me even if it cant be repaired, they will not give me a new piece. All they will do is to open up my E2 and replace with new parts........!!!!!!!! as compared, when the same problem happen in USA, SHure USA will almost always send a new sealed in box piece . so my qn is 1) anyone local who faced the plug problem b4 ? 2) where do u guys think i should send the E2 back to.. the Shure USA or local ? just to add, the local service was telling me that the reason that they do not give 1 to 1 exchange is that they are afraid that they will not be able to claim it back from Shure USA. So what he suggest hat i do is to email Shure USA to get them to sned a email or something to assure the local agent that Shure USA is willing to let them claimback from Shure USA if they do a 1 to 1 exchange 4 me. so now i am am also waiting for reply fromShure SUA Edited April 16, 2004 by Paris
evil-zen 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2004 have you tried using it on other headphone jacks? it might be a problem of the jack itself.

Rameish 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 Send it back to Shure in the US. Contact them first as you may need to quote a reference number (which they will provide). Upgrade wise it's your call.
Paris 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 (edited) yeah.. i already contacted Shure USA and they are helping me to settle my problem.... I can even change the new E2 in Singapore without sending it back to US.. they are going to drop an email to E&E abt it to let them know the situation.... i also have been offered the option to upgrade to E3...US80 but not very sure how much to pay if upgrade through E&E .... will have to wait for the answer when they reply me but most proably more ex than US80 thats y i am asking the qn abt the upgrade.... my problem with e2 is that i find that it is not clear enough.... but it sound great with a light eq to "clear" it up. will the e3 be much clearer w/o eq ? thanks Edited April 17, 2004 by Paris
