kahchun 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2005 Harmon Kardon are normally more expensive. Heard 1 model when I'm in Hong Kong pushing the big JMLab Utopia, pretty nice sounding. Actually no matter whether it's Nad, Harmon Kardon or the other Japanese branded AV amps, they should fulfill most general surround capacilities. As for sound, basically if tuned properly, the desire effects should be there. However, if 3 channels are desired you might need to hunt around for a AV amp that have 3 channel surround. BTW, Yamaha has black coloured models but not in Singapore, maybe you can check up with the shops whether it's possible to bring in a black one for you.
