evil-zen 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2005 I have a DAC and most of the time it is being fed by digital out from a Revolution 7.1 soundcard. As with other audio equipments, digital outputs/transports differ from one another. Jitter is the main cause here which are variations in timing of the signal due to either poor clocks or poor grounding (something like that). Whether you can tell differences in jitter with different transports is another matter as DACs are more of a factor here.
