renesis 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2005 Hi guys, I've done the amp experiment and at this stage I can't hear a difference between these with and without an amp on my DT880. Could be my source but I don't have the money to get an EMU. So I am entertaining any interest for a possible trade between these for either a pair of headphones (just checking interest so let me know what you have) or either maybe a soundcard. Basically the portaphile V2 is a portable amp that uses triple AD8610 opamps and with black gate caps. I'm the second owner although it has had very little use and the blue LED seems to have an intermittent connection so it's not always on. Pictures available on request. Let me know, Renesis PS: I'm in Australia and will make my decision in two weeks after I've got to sample some of the headphones I have in mind in a meet here in Sydney.
