huangyong 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2005 I borrowed from a friend and tried it for 2 weeks quite sometime ago. Paired it with dt880 and akg501, what i can say is the amp is not powerful enough, control is generally bad through out the spectrum, especially bass, the mid is muddy. even a cmoy(with opa627) could sound better. another concern about this amp is the design, the tubes are hide just behind the front panel, make it very very hot to touch. and the way it was packaged is not modding friendly. comment.
