Zephyron 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2006 There are several reviews here: http://www.metareview.com/product-philips-...buds/B00061IYJC Personally, I never liked ANC technology. The noise cancelling microphones sometimes (OK, not sometimes, in fact its most if not all the time) do interfere with the music output by the speakers, most obvious in quiet environments, creating a somewhat 'sucked and suppressed' feeling when you're listening to your music. IEMs or closed-cup/closed type headphones would be better buys. If your ears accept them, BiFlanges (15-20+ dB reduction) and TriFlanges (30+ dB, the ER4 provides up to 42 dB of isolation) work better than the best ANC technology noise reduction feature (headphones usually cuts off 16dB or lower at most if I remember right, that Phillips HN-060 has only 10 dB noise reduction) without compromising sound quality.
