yotiao 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2006 i bought the Aego M for $369 inc. gst, at city electronics first floor SLS. I never heard of fx6021, but a friend of mine heard both fx6021 and aego m, she prefers the latter in terms of sound. See What Hi-Fi test result for several budget speakers: http://www.mylivy.net/livy/What_HiFi_Aego_M_Group_Test.jpg
Fizban 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2006 Ahaha...thanks dudes. I like dance music, but also alot of others like classical and vocals...so it's alot to ask for i know. But how does the Aego-M shine over the fx6021? Like in what area does it particularly beat the fx6021 at?
Stereo_Electronics 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2006 I think a fair way to compare is to have them side by side on the same source and same music, if speakers are tested at different shops with different source on different music, results may differ. For soundstaging and imaging, they are greatly influenced by positioning of speakers. For bass freak just crank up the subwoofer level and even the AE can be quite bassy in a reasonable size room. But if the subwoofer starts sounding crappy after the bass level crank up, that's a sign that the speaker system isn't very versatile and may only suit certain music type. Subwoofer in such systems are extremely critical as they usually determine how full range the system is, even jazz vocals have double bass, and classical music may involve full scale orchestra and not to mention dance music, not only the bass dept but also the volume level the system is capable of handling. Just my one dollar and ten cent.
