ahdui 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2006 Im currently looking for a headphone mostlikely using it at home. Any Ideal Headphones? and how abt ATH-ES7 ?
aegisofrime 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2006 Why not consider the FC7?
Stereo_Electronics 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2006 The ATH-FC7 have two cables in case you haven't noticed, not everyone likes the idea. I can let you try the ATH-ES7 if you happen to drop by.
themanster 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2006 If you are using them at home, why don't you get a pair of circumaural headphones? Which sit around your ear, instead of on top of your ear, the way the FC7 and ES7 do. They are comparatively more comfortable. Also what are you needs? Do you need isolation? And what is your budget? themanster 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 The Audio Technica a500 could be a good first choice.
Username 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 ES7 are supra-aural IIRC. How about a Koss 60 Ohm. I have owned 3 pairs of Koss 60 Ohm phones and I am almost always blown away at howw well they perform at that price.
ahdui 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2006 thanks man. ill take note of them. i need mroe suggessions coming in !
Username 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2006 ahdui: even though I own better phones than the Portapros, I can so live with teh Portapros as my home phones. The best part is that it cost only $89. If you have a bigger budget, I personally like the Grado line. BTW... GO TO STEREO ELECTRONICS, They have quite a nice stash displayed for you to audition.
