best portable closed headphones the hd 25?

So which would be the killer setup for your ipod? the hd 25? hd 280pro?

i'm on the lookout for the 'best' portable closed headphone too... i guess it depends on how portable and how closed you want your headphone to be (and how much you're willing to pay for it ). i think it's debatable how 'portable' these professional monitoring headphones are. they're not really designed to be worn on the go, you know.

 

anyways, do give the AKG K81DJ a try. Of the few closed headphones i have heard, the K81DJ has been pretty impressive, esp considering the price. But again, bear in mind that they are not designed for portability...

 

truth be, i've not heard a closed phone that's as good as my trusty KSC75... maybe it's impossible (open vs closed etc), i dunno...

Had not listened to the hd 25 but I owned the hd 280pro for 1.5 years already.

 

The only problem is the 64 ohms which is a bit high for any portable player to drive it no doubt u still can.

 

The sound is warm & detail. I choose this because it enclose your whole ear. Isolation is very good & u won't feel the heat wearing for long.

I had the chance to audition the Sennheiser HD25-1 back in my school.

 

I don't know if my mind is playing tricks on me or not, but it sound shockingly like the E4G O_O

 

Add: Oh, the HD25-1 is 70 Ohms in impedance, stated on the headband.
