Westone UM1: Left cable longer than right

The part of my earphone wire connecting the Y-connector to the buds themselves is longer on the left than the right. This is rather annoying for a perfectionist like me. Am I the only one with this problem? If my buds are indeed defective, can anything be done about it? (I purchased them a month ago from Stereo)

Some prefer it that way, as it allows the earphone to be more easily used behind the earss, out of a haversack. I don't really remember the UM1s having such a feature though.

If you have problem with the length, just bring it down for an exchange. ( bring along your receipt)
