wow this is not just a mod, it's more like building your own opamp from discrete transistors

oh boy, it's gonna be tough trying to match the transistors i.e. for the differential input and the current mirrors. i've never tried this myself but dang somehow it also sounds fun.

 

so any idea which opamp to emulate first? hmm need to get the schematics

hey fren, those are not opamp la.. just a low power discrete regulator. you wan to try??

may be we can try using chip LM317 then REF02 + an opamp, or TL431 + transistor.

when you click the link provided http://stores.ebay.com.au/BursonAudio-Melbourne in the page there are many links to the projects and the one that i thought was being refered by topic starter (about opamp mod) was the one about opamp tweaks

 

i've only read a little of it and i think it is talking about an opamp built using discrete component.

 

were you refering to this link about power regulator?

I'm new here.

 

Would like to share that I came across the Burson Discreet OPAMP/HDAM

module over at TNT review a couple months back. Was interested for my Zhaolu,

so I did some researching on the net, and came across this.

You may recognize the handle "Ruach" from Echoloft. I think he did a good job

pointing it out.

 

It does not mean that the OPAMP module is bad or does not work (in fact TNT

says good things about it,) but it was enough to put me off.
