aaron-xp 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 Tests coming soon, and my next rig depends on it... I was promised a CDP (I think I'll go for the SCD CE595 if it is not too expensive) if I got a 3.8 average. Without a CDP, my future HD595 or AD900 would be useless.... *GASP* Haha, will definitely go as soon as possible...

Good Luck to you, I'm sure u will be motivated to work hard for it too... so it will also be good for the dealers as you will prob get more portable and /or Home Equipments... to tie this back to the topic (hee). Hope u get to worship the "King" too. Cheers.
Nu_Omega 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 I think Wilson will definitely let forumers know when the time for big daddy O is due. Hope it'll still be there by the end of this month when i go there for my x'mas amp shopping session. (Crossed my fingers and pray)
nakedtoes 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 Just listen to the 'king'... One word to discribe.. Magical... I tried to listen to the differences... But very soon i got immersed into the music... Bass is abit disappointing but still very good from an electro static phone.
xenocide 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 oh my god... my session with Orpheus is truely amazing... its just how wonderful this thing sounded... lack of bass true but if you have one of this... i doubt you'll be blowing Daddy Yankee's off it... these are really for enjoyment and relaxation man... i love how clear it sounded... its like sitting right in front of an Orchestra with no one else except u as the audience... simply MARVELLOUS!!! Zephyron 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 (edited) The strings... OH my GOSH the strings... Vocal fluidity... Headroom... Detail... Terrifying extension at both ends... To sum the Orpheus up in a word... It was... BREATH-TAKING! If I had my salary in, I'd sit at Jaben for days listening to it non-stop till my wallet runs dry O_O Edited October 8, 2006 by Zephyron
nakedtoes 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 Nice meeting you there.. and another 2 guys plus Uncle Wilson and staff.. Quite a nice experience and know how one of the world most ex can setup sound... I hear instrument's extension i never hear before... yes vocal, soundstage are almost perfect... Infact it is very easy to pin point the position of the different instruments.. I played Emi Fujita's live concert and it is as thought i am at the concert... 4th and 5th rows while my RS-1 and Cayin combo put me right at the front row.. The clapping part is so real.... However i can't get the details i have in my RS-1 maybe due to the OPEN design and the "noisy" environment there... The bass is actually very good, typical electro-static phone's characteristic... it lack the impact and dynamic bass of the RS-1 & Cayin combo... Therefore it suit only certain genes of music.... However the effortless magical mids and high extension are what this can is worth to die for....
Zephyron 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 ^ Sorry, I know we were really noisy back there x_X Asked the guys to soften down but in te end got caried away chatting XP I personally feel that the Orpheus has more than sufficient impact though, in fact, when I loaded up a trance song on it (waaay after ya left), it was a bit too much bass in terms of quantity for me already. That said, the Orpheus has a frightening extension down in the lows and up in the highs.
