okw3188 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2007 I managed to replace the 3x470uF, 16V capacitors to Elna audio grade (red colour), bought from Koba at $0.60 each. The immediate result is improved overall sound-staging and bass performance. I just finished the job less than 30 mins, now listening to it. I believe it will improve more after running in. Didn't replace the 2x2200uF, 6.3V, as the Elna audio grade is bigger and therefore causes physical obstruction when closing the case. Gary (designer) claims that these 2 capacitors are the output ones and sound may improve if they are changed. So, for those who own this amp, I'll strongly recommend to give this mod a try.
