You'll need to give us more info so that we can recommend. e.g. type of music/portable or desktop.

Localy, check out Stereo@Woodlands or Jaben Network@Adelphi... you'll be spolit for choice.

For reviews, you might be interested in reading through some of the older threads. head-fi.org is US-based and very active.

Not sure if $300 is your absolute max, but getting a REALLY good amp will save you loads of money in the long run :)

Well... from what I recall about the MFA3, it's a pretty neutral CD player (as in not very forward in its presentation, correct me if I'm wrong :P )

Are you looking for an 'exciting' sound or a more lush sound? A lot of people seem to favour tubes which will generally give a more laid back sound.

Just off my mind...

The more popular ones are the Rudistors, iBasso, Ray Samuels, Meier and the assortment of smaller amps from Jaben.

Wah all the brand names never see before

warsurferX what's your fav. pick ?

got some pic to see ?

Cheers

Ermmm... try googling them? They are all very reputable brands :) There's a whole lot more actually. Head-fi's has got an extensive database of recommendations.

Can't really commend on which is my fav because they all have their strengths and depends on the headphones and source used.

But like what most ppl will advise, drop by Stereo or Jaben and try them out! :)
