ninja 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2008 went down to causeway point this saturday with my ipod, after quite a while of audition and comparing between ad700 and ms1, a900, sr60...picked my ad700..lol. at first impression that was huge, by the time i wear that on my head, it felt even larger, and abit loose. But the earpads were so comfortable. For the sound, vocals were clear and i can hear the slightest pitches, but the bass was way not enough though. thinking i will step into classic music in the future, i chose them. after went home and played many songs, i began to feel the high pitch abit too off for me, how can i lower the pitches?(i did changed the EQs on my ipod, not working), is it because it is new and it will be ok if i play it longer? warsurferX 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2008 most headphones mellows down after some time. so not to worry Do keep us updated as your headphones get 'burn-in'. If you're impatient, just leave your headphones on for hours in a drawer.. Heh.. just don't blast them
Stereo_Electronics 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2008 Burning-in the AD700 certainly will help reduce the brightness about 10%, I would suggest you listen as you burn them in and if you listen to them on a daily basis for about 1-2 hours. They should sound better in 2 months time. As ipod do not have even an average EQ, I would suggest you turn them off. Ripping the music in minimum 320 and above will help. tassardar_ 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2008 Yeah headphones tend to mellow down after some time. For me I run my headphone for 24 hrs over a few days and usually they become better after that. As what stereo said, ripping better quality will also help. Using amplifier will also help but do note some do actually make them even brighter so take note on what you choose.
