Guest Hottopic Report post Posted December 5, 2008 how does it compare with the ck7? thinking of changing from ck7 to atrios but if er4 fits the bill... I wanted an all-in-one set of earphones, then I'll recommend the CK7 over ER-4. Also, The CK7 is half price comparing to the ER-4.
peanutbutterjam 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2008 (edited) If only the er-4 had a little more bass... it would had been my favourite universal. Ahh well that's true. I would love it 100% if the <80Hz region was slightly punchier. But I'm super happy with my ER-4 as it is now. I think I am a very lucky person how does it compare with the ck7? thinking of changing from ck7 to atrios but if er4 fits the bill... Er frankly atrios and ER-4 are like 2 ends of the spectrum... Both have their excellent points. ER-4 is extremely detailed, and don't let the common complaint that "ER-4 has no bass" get into you. Yes ER-4 isn't a bass monster like the atrios, but the ER-4 HAS very deep tonal extension. In short, the ER-4 has bass, just that the bass response is flat compared to other IEMs which have the bass slightly boosted. I wanted an all-in-one set of earphones, then I'll recommend the CK7 over ER-4. Also, The CK7 is half price comparing to the ER-4. Well the ER-4 and CK7 are like totally different levels of sound quality, and I suppose the cost also follows.
