kingston 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2009 hi all, I would like a diy amp built, but unfortunately do not have the skills to build one. Thus I am looking for either a shop, or person, who can provide what i need, i.e. sourcing for parts, building it and such. Are there any such shops at all? regards. Masterman 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2009 (edited) If that's the case why don't you learn how to source for parts and how to build an amp? It's very simple, you can start with something like the PIMETA that's very idiot proof and that has a step by step guide. Guest Ph33lix Report post Posted March 19, 2009 Google "tangentsoft cmoy" and have a look. That page is very comprehensive with detailed step-by-step guide. It's a very very simple project and very flexible with numerous headphone types if used with Burr Brown 2134. I've built one with a pair of single Burr Brown 627 opamps and found that I had to trouble myself to beef up the power supply to keep the whole thing stable. But if you use the lower end 134 series from Burr Brown or a jellybean TL072, you will find that the whole gadget can be very forgiving (on batts and compatibility). Just read up the tangentsoft page on the cmoy, you will learn EVERYTHING you will need to know... and possibly more.
