i read about the d-jays mass order a while back. anyone still using them? could you do a comparison between the d-jays and the um1 and the e4?

i will go down next week after my exams to try. haha. hmm..if it sounds like the ER6i, then i think i'm going to be very disappointed when i try it. personal preference, i've tried the ER6i and other etys before. totally hated the sound. so clinical and sterile. to me, personally, the um2 are musical. hmm...will let you all know when i try. though now i'm a bit sian already. haha.

you mean the ck7 is not very good? what's the nearest iem that has a similar sound to the ck7/6?

i belive there are users of the ATH CK7 here? care to give a review anyone? how does it sound compared to the UM1, and UM2 and E4? can it use shure sleeves as well? and anyone has the new CK6? how's that? thinking of getting either the CK6 or CK7 to compliment my um2 with custom molds. on days when i need something nicer to go out with. haha. but must sound good of course. price of CK6 and CK7?

the sensa sleeves are removable? they look embedded. did you have color options?

how much did you pay for the sensaphonics molds for the e500 alone? you think they do um2 as well?

well, the point of the shuffle for me is to let me rest and let it choose. haha. perfect. when i need to choose songs i'll use my 20gb ipod. haha.

that's quite an expensive but very cool money clip then! =) i think it shouldn't be a problem. the clip is sturdy and firm. won't come off unless you fling it with all your strength.

Where in headfi did you read this? i'd like to take a loook too. seems like not many pple have posted stuff about their new shuffle yet. coming from the ipod3G, the shuffle definitely sounds better. haha.

I've only used the old Shuffle for like 5 minutes before. Not able to compare with the new one. Too little time spent with it. But i think value wise, the new shuffle is really cheap for the 1gb, physical size and looks, and for SQ. But if you're the kind that likes to choose your songs then i guss it's not really for you?

anyone here got the new ipod shuffle already? i got mine yesterday. wanna hear what you guys have to say about the SQ of the new shulffe. =) anyone? pics too! I listened to it briefly for about an hour yesterday after getting it. SQ in my opinion is definitely WAY better than my 3G iPod. vocals and acoustic guitar are so much clearer and forward. soundstage is wider and deeper. i'm using the UM2 with widex custom molds.

hi i have a 20gb 3G ipod. was wondering if i could install rockbox on it. and if i do, will the ipod still pop up in itunes as usual for me to sync music onto it? how significant is the sound quality after changing to rockbox?

i noticed the part of the ES2 that faces the outside when you put them on, isn't flat. it looks as tho someone removed a portion of it. isn't it supposed to be flat? especially if you chose a single color?

Jaben does both EAR IMPRESSIONS and the MOLDS. So why the trouble going all over the place to get impressions done, then to somewhere else to get molds done when you can do them all at one place?

Go down to Jaben and look for Wilson to try out the UM1. He has the Go-vibe amp there as well which sounds really good too. You can probably try out the UE Super.fi 3 which is also in the same price league with the UM1. Go and feast your ears. Then you can safely make a decision after that.

you can't adjust the volume for the lineout from the ipod 3G (done with an adaptor). who has the LDM+ and has compared it to the xenos XEP?

i tried the xenos portable headphone amp and the crossroads portable headphone amp at jaben that day. seems like the xenos was a better match with my ipod3G and the um2. anyone has the xenos amp and the um2 and care to share some reviews on them? what other amps are there around that i can consider?

no one has ideas on this? i read about xtrememac/future sonics FS1 and they do sound impressive. anyone haas a set and has reviews/comments on them?

what do you guys think of the ue super.fi 3 studio as a 'fun' earphone? i'm using um2 with custom molds currently for monitoring and listening to music. was thinking of getting a spare set, also a fun set on days when i want something different.

Bro, when you changed cables, did they change it to the black cables for you? or still the transparent ones? i kinda don't like the black cables. haha. maybe i shouhld get mine changed for the transparent cables. Sorry to give you a wrong idea. What I meant was change to fresh cables. My plug gold plating got a little worn off, so I emailed Westone and they offered to change the whole cable, recondiditon and add new filters for me. It came back looking like a brand new set. Waa you tot I change to some python size cable ah?

I agree! I sleep better on the trains and buses with custom earmolds. Haha! Probably another use for them.

I duno whether this is a lil off topic or not, but after using the UM2 for about almost half a year, today i used my dad's UM1 and WHOA, suddenly my music is bassless and thin. well, almost. I'm using Jaben's custom molds with both. Think my ears are too used to the fat thick sound from the UM2 already. Suddenly the UM1 sound terrible as compared to the UM2. haha.

I believe the custom molds only (without the impressions) will cost you about 200 @ Jaben. If you take the impressions at Jaben it's an additional 50. BUT uncle wilson is always nice to friends. =) Just go down to the shop and check it out. This is what i last heard when i had my molds done. Correct me if i'm wrong uncle wilson. =)
