I agree with most pple abt the 5eb. Only get it if you are a basshead. The bass just so... overwhelming.

You can try the LD2+ for the DT990. Dats wat i'm using anyway. Its relatively cheaper than the others.

Yupz You should give them a call to see if they have stock so you won't make a wasted trip down. I bought 2 of them abt 2 months back. It cost $25+gst per piece. Very nice holder to rest your cans.

Hi Tristram, so glad that my post was able to assist you in making a decision. I'm also pairing it with the LD2+ and it sounds good. Dun think those portable amps would be able to drive the DT990s properly unless you got the 32ohm set. Maybe you'll have to place the LD2+ away from your kids as it does get quite hot to touch. I guess you're enjoying your new PRECIOUS at the moment. Hope you're loving it as much as I do.

Well... you can always get a sumajin wrap from Jaben and shorten your radio remote cable. Dats what i'm doing on mine and my gf's ipod radio remote anyway. Works like a charm. Will try to post a pic of it when i get home.

I would suggest getting the LD2+ instead of the LDM+. Anyway this set of cans can only be fully enjoyed in the nice quiet atmosphere of your house. Dun think it can realli be used outside as its an open can. At its price range i think its the best all rounded can to get. Really a very fun can to listen to with lots of detail. The AKG K701 was an additional $200++ i think.... (Gotta check with Uncle Wilson for the exact pricing) I realli like the K701 but the price was a very big turn off. If it was in the same price range as the DT990 i would have walked away with the K701 instead.

I went to Martin Electronics and Well Audio Labs today to find out more about the Soviet 4N1N tubes but both shops said no such tube exist?
