  1. Hi, I'm using the UM2 with custom earmolds actually. Well... I did a short review on the customs in this forum so mayb u'll like to search for it? After using them for a month, they are now realli easy to insert it. They are in fact much much easier than the complys. Its only at the start when u can't get used to them then they're really difficult to put on. Hope my short review and this helps.
  2. Good for you. Dun think you'll regret your decision.
  3. Why dun u go audition the Creative Aurvana and the UM1 and let your ears decide? What i would personally do is juz top-up the extra $30 and dun have to regret... I got the Shure E2G previously cause it was cheaper than the UM1. Ended up had to sell off the E2G (troublesome) and pay more to get the UM1 cause the UM1 sounded much better than the E2G.
  4. I find that the UM1 wins the shure e2c hands down due to the tighter bass and more detail. Shure e2c bass is realli kinda muddy. Too muddy for my liking.
  5. The UM1 is not much more expensive and you get local warranty and dun have to wait till it ships over. =)
  6. Try EAC with LAME? I'm using it to rip at 320kbps.
  7. IMHO means In My Humble Opinion.
  8. IMHO i feel that the bass in the UM1 is much better than the E2C. I've tried the E2C and felt that the bass is realli too muddy compared to the UM1. The UM1 has a much tighter and punchier bass. However if u're comparing the E2C to the ER6i than the E2C would have much better bass than the ER6i. Haven tried the ER6 though...
  9. Thread Updated. UM1 has been sold!
  10. Item has been reserved at $130. Thanks for interests.
  11. Receipt and full packaging. Pics are avaliable here http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=4962.
  12. HWZ has a bidder offering $120 for the UM1. Surprisingly is moving so slowly here...
  13. UM1 has been sold. Thanks for all the interests and to the buyer for a fast deal. Thanks.
  14. I'm using a UM1 with a 30gb iPod Video. I'm currently setting the volume at midpoint with no EQ at all.
  15. I tried both the UM1 and the ER6i and found that the ER6i was realli lacking in the bass department with a biflange. This was 1 of the reason why i chose the UM1 over the ER6i. The 2nd reason was the price. The ER6i was much more expensive than the UM1 and i could not find any reason to pay much more for a earphone which has less bass, poorer built quality and less accessories. So end up i'm a happy user of an UM1.
  16. Its kinda like a computer shop but i feel that its a nice and quiet environment to audition. Wilson is friendly too and he allows you to realli take your time to audition.
  17. I'm using custom earmolds now.
  18. I've tried the E2G for 2 weeks which is similar to the E2C and in the end sold it off to get the UM1. My advice to you is to get the UM1. Much tighter bass than the E2G. The bass on the E2G was realli muddy. I would also advice you to just give either Jaben or Stereo a call or a pm and you should get better idea of the prices.
  19. Mai crap! Westone can make earmolds for your iM716. Just shoot them an email, get your impressions done, and send them together with your earphones. Yar lor! Westone makes earmolds for quite a number of IEMs sia. Your iM716 sure no problem so go ahead and burn a big hole in your wallet and get a pair of earmolds done.
  20. You can actually go to headfi and get Turbo to do up a white ipod line out for u. I got 1 from him and it cost USD$25. If u wanna build up 1 yrself then i've got no idea.
  21. Your customs looks pretty cool. I think dats wat Wilson would like eh. He keeps saying i should have gone for glitter everytime i pop into his shop. Hahaha.
  22. You also did customs?? Why dun u post a review too? What colour did u do yours in?
  23. They shouldn't realli dry up leh. when i take my customs off for awhile and try re inserting its still wet leh...
  24. Left over lub in your ears should be ok as they are kinda anti bacterial. But when i wun b using the customs for a period of time, i'll juz use a tissue or a cloth to clean out my ears.
  25. You can get it at Jaben. I got the Westone Deluxe Case so it came with it but i believe they do sell them individually. I apply it just once in awhile. As long as either your customs or ears still have a little OtoEase left on them then you should not need to apply.
